I got caught with a fake right before my 21st birthday. The bar tender confiscated it, I thought no biggie. Months later my insurance company called me. They'd done a spot check on my driving record and discovered I'd had a suspended liscense. I was so smart that I hadn't changed anything on my ID except my birthday...so the bouncer handed it over to the cops and eventually the DPS suspended my liscence. I never knew about the suspension b/c my ID had an old address on it. I had a warrant out for my arrest, and my insurance company (St Farm) dropped me instantly. I had a huge mess to sort out both legally, as well as finding an insurance company that would touch me with a ten foot poll. So stupid when I think about it now. Granted this was in 2001, I'm not sure what would happen now...but at the end of the day there's a LOT of bad things that can happen vs. only one good thing that could potentially happen. And is that one good thing (her getting into the bar) really worth it?
